Where the Wild things are!

At school we have been learning about Where the Wild things are. We had to write a description about our own wild thing. Mine was about a monster called Susan, and her pet Boppity the grasshopper.

Appearances can be deceiving When you look at Susan you think, "Oh, look at that cute little monster!" But do you really believe that? Or is it just because of her dwarf stature, her huge eyes and her sweet flower smell? Think before you do.She may look harmless, but you must remember, she is a shape-shifter! Also, she is as agile as a gymnast, if not more. But, she can be sweet. Susan loves playing hide-and-seek with the baby giants, and playing with her pet Boppity the grasshopper. Her huge, royal blue eyes can make her easy to identify.

Now, you may be thinking what does she actually do as a hobby? Well, I can tell you one thing for sure. She is obsessed with books. Susan has:
  • 5 bookshelves
  • 3 cupboards
  • 2 bags

Full of books. She has got all the books you can think of. But enough about books. Her favourite game is spotlight or hide-and-seek. She loves stealthily hiding and blending in with the bushes, but is often given away by her screeching laughter, cutting through the silence like a knife. Her pet is Sir Boppity the Brave (his nickname) who is a grass hopper that barks.

I guess you would describe Susan as a shadow creature sometimes creeping up on you and sometimes just hiding away the whole night. You never really know what to think when she is around, or even when you don't think she is around. You can never be sure if the thing you are talking to is your best friend or Susan in disguise. But Susan can be as kind as she is mysterious and dangerous. If you come across her you would do best either ignore her or bargain with her. Her favourite colours are those of jewels and shadows. You may be getting the vibe now that Susan is dangerous, and you aren't wrong.
That is my wild thing!!!
